Message from a cost-effective standpoint, especially considering E85's abundance in my area (Iowa). Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Unless I can find a Haltech for about 1/2 the price, I plan to mimic your method. Looks like Dynosty (their spelling; not mine) came out with an ethonal content gauge that got good reviews from the little research I have done so far. However, I do know that Dynosty is a well known shop with a great reputation for doing quality work. Their gauge costs less than the Zeitronix one.

Seems like at a bare minimum, you will need at least Nismo 740's, a healthy fuel pump, ethanol content gauge, a live tune, ethanol compatible fuel lines, and a wideband. I already have an aeromotive fpr too. If you break it down, it really isn't a large investment nor difficult to accomplish. The tune will probably be the most expensive, but obviously most important, single piece of the puzzle.
